The Innovation Country Austria Show
For the first time the “Innovationsland Österreich” (Innovation Country Austria) show in the Säulenhalle of the Vienna parliament presented selected innovations from Austrian companies to represent the many new products with the “made in Austria” label.
From October 15 to 19, Tridonic and LEDON showcased their LED products. LEDON retrofit lamps and LED modules from Tridonic demonstrated the versatility of this technology in terms of energy efficiency, quality of light and sustainability. Tridonic also provided the lighting technology for the show in the Säulenhalle of the parliament.

Alfred Felder appointed new Tridonic CEO
Effective November 1, Alfred Felder (49) is to become the new Chief Executive Officer of Tridonic.
Alfred Felder has a comprehensive knowledge of the field of opto-semiconductors and has acquired decades of management experience with prominent players in the electronics industry. In his career to date he has worked for several years in each of Japan, the US and China. Since 2003, he has filled various management roles in the areas of OLED and LED technology with Osram, where as Senior Vice President Sales he was lastly responsible for Osram’s worldwide general lighting sales activities. Osram expands with new LED assembly plant in China
LED plant strengthens the company’s position in the lighting industry’s largest market
OSRAM AG has signed a contract with the Wuxi New District Administrative Commit-tee to build a new assembly plant in the Chinese province of Jiangsu. LED chips will be packaged in housings at the new backend facility starting in late 2013; with the Regensburg and Penang (frontend) plants exclusively continuing to make the actual LED chips. “The new assembly plant will improve our access to the world’s largest single market in the lighting industry,” said Aldo Kamper, CEO of the Osram Opto Semiconductors business unit. “As one of the world’s most renowned LED lighting corporations, Osram’s new plant in Wuxi will definitely enhance the development of the LED industry in both Wuxi Municipality and Jiangsu Province,” said Lixin Huang, Member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee and Secretary of Wuxi Municipal CPC Committee in China.
